MAX A RUSH PHOTOGRAPHY

Robert and Mask
This is a later portrait, executed on the spur of the moment. Robert had been making plaster face casts (from his own face) and then modifying them with a plasticene-like modelling material. The two tones and textures looked like they would be very photogenic, and I suggested he wear a white shirt to add further light tones to the image. Near-white tones in cloth can, when well printed take on a solid satin-like appearance like polished marble. 2006.
