Arborial Menhir by the Lakes
This area of wild flowers and shrubs by the main lake is being managed to benefit insects and other wildlife, with a variety of food and nectar plants being left to colonise the ground. The large menhir-like tree stump is a source of food and protection for many species such as stag beetles, goat moths and woodpeckers. October 2009.
