August Shadows and Evening Shower
I ended up with two versions of this image, with and without the direct sunlight. The overcast version with its delicate cool light was what I originally intended, but in the end I have chosen the version from a few seconds later where the stone path has become striped with shadows which relate to the undulating cloud base. August 2009.
