Red, White, Green and Grey Afternoon in the Walled Garden
After the chromatic excesses of midsummer (see evening shower series on the first page of this gallery) it was quite refreshing to work with more subdued colours. There is certainly nothing wrong with grey skies if they have some structure to them, and the very formal planting of the flower beds makes a good contrast to the ragged treeline and clouds.
