Topiary, Roses and Reflected Sunset
Of all my attempts to capture the evening shower light, this one best shows the reflections that I always hope for. On most occasions the stones dry before the sunlight reaches under the shower clouds, but here everything has worked well. This is a very fleeting natural effect and worth the wait. Interestingly, this is the last photograph I made before leaving for Scotland and the first one I made there a few days later (see Arran gallery) shows very similar colour in the clouds. June 2009.
