Dawn Redwood

One of the most unusual images of my Brockwell Park portfolio as well as one of the first. The rising sun casts strong oblique beams through the morning fog as a solitary walker crosses the slopes of Brockwell Hall. The imposing tree is a Dawn redwood, Metasquoia glyptostroboides and I thought the English name of the tree made a fitting title. December 2007.
