The Second Pond in January
My attempts to photograph the first (largest) pond this winter were mostly hindered by less than perfect weather, but I did manage to make something of the second pond for the first time. I realised that with the surrounding trees partially shading the frozen surface, different sky colours would show up as very interesting reflections. Despite a lot of waiting, the clouds never quite ended up very good positions for this, but I think this photograph works quite well anyway, especially with the tiny island outlined in white.
