This portrait was undertaken for a CD cover, and as Ruth was happy to go along with my painting-influenced ideas, we chose a reconstructed traditional house in the Welsh borders as a location. Despite the miniature still life, I wanted the non-portrait focus to be on the instrument and sheet music. 2006.
