The photographs in this gallery represent a portfolio of commissioned work in my main specialist field, urban park landscapes. They were made for Islington council, and showcase both the rich heritage of green spaces in the borough and the recent work undertaken to improve their appearence, function and biodiversity. Thornhill Square, near Caledonian Road, dates from the late 19th C, and was opened to the public in 1947. My photographs show the profusion and variety of flowers in the central beds in early summer.
