December Snowstorm

This wooded hilltop overlooking the railway cutting on one side and the golf course on the other is a well-known spot for local people. I wanted to convey the wild character of the "Great North Wood" as well as the distinctive local landmarks. The heavy snowfall on this December morning was accompanied by thunder which was quite dramatic and eerie in the otherwise quiet and deserted woods. December 2010.
