The Lake in Winter

The winter photographs on this page were all made on a wild snowy January day, during which the entire park was frequently engulfed in blizzards. The very heavy snow made for attractive but quite poorly-lit scenes, and the low light made it difficult to capture the texture of the falling flakes at all. This is a pity as it was one of the most exciting things about the experience. Nevertheless the quasi-monochrome blue tones of the photographs are quite interesting, and I am certainly pleased with the first two. January 2010.
