Dawn Silhouettes and Firth of Clyde
When exploring a new location by car, I often catch a glimpse of an inspirational view that passes so quickly that I either don’t have time to stop, or have difficulty finding it again. There is usually no place to park safely at these places anyway, so I normally never return and convince myself that had I had another look I would have found insurmountable imperfections. These trees seemed close enough to walk back to however and I decided to risk a detour during the crucial quarter of an hour before dawn when I could have been working somewhere more familiar. I’m still not completely sure that these are the same trees that I first saw flashing by, but the effect is close enough to what I had in mind. June 2009.
