Lichen Covered Sandstone and Wild Flowers I
The sandstone shore of Corrie was the natural focus of my work on Arran, both in the context of the sweeping vista of the coast and in close-up. As in my Welsh work I have tried to show some of the variety of vegetation growing around the exposed stone, but unlike in Wales I had the advantage of grazing dawn light to increase the chromatic and tonal depth of the images.
