St David's Rock IV
This is my favourite in the set of mineral veins. It was a grey breezy day with nothing unusual in the light, but conditions were good for revealing the contours of the rock surface without leaving harsh shadows. Similar ridges and veins are found in sandstone formations throughout the world, but particularly in the western USA. Without any significant clues to scale however, these Welsh rocks are just as photogenic. July 2008.
