Craig Goch Silver Snowscape
Earlier in the evening than the other images in the sequence of Craig Goch meadow, the low sunlight reveals patterns in the wind-sculpted snow. The tussocks of hard rush and grass are in fact very large, but only the tops of the stems protrude above the snow. This is one of my favourite recent images from the Elan Valley. February 2009.
