Moss, Algae and Ice on Rockface, Craig Goch
This image of a rockface facing Craig Goch dam was made on the same morning as the freezing fog photographs, and shows exceptionally thick transparent ice sheets as well as branching tufts of hoar frost. I don’t remember the green and red algae and moss being so striking at the time but seeing the film later I was very glad to see such unusual colours and shapes. March 2006.
