Pen y Garreg Island in Winter
This small island in the Pen y Garreg reservoir is a familiar feature to most people who have been to the Elan Valley a few times. Sometimes at low water its shores reveal concentric stripes of different coloured sediment, but here in late winter only a narrow strip is visible. February 2009.
