Dulwich

Within this smart area of south London are surprisingly diverse landscapes that I’ve photographed over the years. Dulwich Park is clean and generally manicured, with a variety of features. Dulwich Wood and the neighbouring Sydenham Hill Wood are moderately large swathes of deciduous woodland on hilly ground, the last remnants of the far more extensive Great North Wood. They contain interesting archaeological remains from south London’s history. The allotments I visited for a few years are set on a hillside in Dulwich looking out on one of the greatest views over London in the south. I found some interest in this view and even more in the plots themselves.
