Herefordshire and mid Wales Border

The western edges of Herefordshire, wooded hills and fertile farmland give way to the cool and rainy mountains of mid Wales whose grassy flanks and rocky outcrops are here and there lit by a solitary sunbeam. Favourite locations include Bradnor Hill in England, the country’s highest golf course, and the string of summits from Hergest Ridge to the rocky cone of Hanter Hill, speckled with coloured lichen and windblown flowers.
