The Thames

Photographs from the Thames Path, mainly in the Richmond and Twickenham area. These long walks along the waterside on towpaths and little roads are full of variety and make a refreshing change from towns and parks. Gentle bends lead from stretches of slow fluvial tranquility to striking views across the Surrey landscape. These are great places for family walks and picnics, but of course, I’m there in the fog and rain when it’s quiet and atmospheric.
